Jean-Florent is Head of Business Development at Trucost, part of S&P Dow Jones Indices. Jean-Florent is responsible for Germany, France, Switzerland and other European countries. Trucost assesses and prices risks relating to climate change, natural resource constraints and broader ESG factors, enabling companies and financial institutions to understand exposure to ESG factors, inform resilience and identify the transformative solutions of tomorrow.
Jean-Florent has a deep understanding of investor needs in the area of ESG research having worked more than 10 years in that field. Detlef is Head of EMEA Research at Lipper. He joined the firm in 2005 from FERI Wealth Management, where he was Director of Portfolio Management, managing segregated accounts for high net worth individuals (HNWI). Prior to FERI, he spent nine years with tecis Holding AG, most recently as Head of Fund Research for tecis Asset Management AG. In this role he was responsible for the quantitative and qualitative fund research for the tecis fund of funds, the HNWI accounts and the recommendation list of funds for the financial adviser arm of tecis. Volker serves since September 2007 as Chairman of the Board for the Forum Nachhaltige Geldanlagen (FNG), the Sustainable Investment Forum of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He is currently Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of MAMA Sustainable Incubation AG based in Berlin. Between September 2008 and November 2009 he worked for the consultancy Beratungsgesellschaft Erfinderdienst mbH based in Hamburg. From July 2002 until August 2008 he served on the board of directors of Swisscanto Funds Management AG as sustainability expert in international market structure and development. From 1999 to 2002 he worked in leadership positions at DekaBank, Frankfurt a. M., and the WestLB Group. Marius Cara is the Deputy Head of Investor Relations and Marketing Division at EIB. His main responsibilities include marketing of the EIB Climate Awareness Bonds (CAB), on-going liaison with investors, rating agencies and credit analysts and general market communication on EIB developments. In the field of green bonds, Marius is actively following the work of the Green Bond Principles and other relevant research, providing input to the EIB communication on the subject and explaining the EIB green bond strategy at conferences and events. Marius joined the EIB in 2006 as Advisor to the Audit Committee and moved to Capital markets in 2011. Before EIB he worked for several years as internal auditor in the UN system and as a consultant for Pricewaterhouse Coopers. Dina Lorentz studied economic law focusing on finance and started her career as a consultant and investment banker specialized in the acquisition and respective valuation of financial institutions. Christian is head of loans / banks / fund management in the Investment Bank Berlin. After a bank apprenticeship and studying business administration at the University of Siegen, he worked, from 1993 until 1997, for the Weber bank and then until 1999 for Mittelbrandenburgische Sparkasse corporate customers. From 1999 until 2004 he was responsible in the gbb Beteiligungs AG, a subsidiary of KfW as an officer in the guarantee and investment business. Marc Weissberger, Group CFO, Climate KIC
Marc was previously CFO and Managing Director of Veolia, Deutschland, where he was co-responsible for the overall management of 120 companies with 3 business lines (energy, water, recycling) serving 100 communities and 130,000 industrial customers. Veolia Deutschland set up a new Accelerator Programme (“U Start”) with KIC InnoEnergy and developed a partnership contract with EIT Raw Materials. Before joining Veolia, Marc held several national and international finance leadership positions at E.ON, one of the world’s largest energy utility providers. He started his career in a banking dealing with international M&A and structured finance. Marc has great experience working in complex finance organisations and brings in-depth knowledge of working in both public and private organizations.
